Damage to District-provided equipment will be billed at the following rates for the 2022-23 school year. The district has several different devices in service for the 2022-23 school year. The rates for the Technology Protection Plan are identical regardless of device.
All charges will be sent using an electronic invoice via email to a student's parents. Full payment of invoices is required by the date printed on the invoice (typically 7 days after being issued).

Technology Protection Plan
The Technology Protection Plan is an optional program available annually to all students and is designed to reduce the financial cost billed to a student's family. The plan costs $35.00 to enroll and covers accidental damage to a student's device for the period of July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023. Each claim made during the 2022-23 school year is subject to a deductible charge.
Deductible charges are as follows:

Economically disadvantaged families and/or families enrolled in the free or reduced lunch program are automatically enrolled in the Technology Protection Plan at no charge. In addition, these families will not be charged any deductible charges for as long as they qualify.

Enrollment in the Technology Protection Plan must be completed by September 11, 2022. New students who enroll in the Upper St. Clair School District after September 11, 2022, will have 14 calendar days to opt-in to the Technology Protection Plan.
Lost or Stolen Devices
Students who lose their district-provided device will be billed for the full cost of the device. If a lost device is found and turned in to the Technology Department by June 30th of the current school year, the lost device fee will be refunded to the original method of payment provided the device is in full working condition. The Technology Protection Plan does not cover lost or stolen devices.

A stolen device will be billed at the same rates as a lost device unless a police report is provided regarding the theft, at which point the device will be replaced free of charge.
