The Lenovo Chromebook 500e 3rd Generation is a laptop and a tablet! 

 

Students will receive a Chromebook, charger and a rechargeable Pen. 

 

When not using the Chromebook, just close the lid.  There is no need to shut down.  

 

Laptop mode:

In laptop mode you can type on the keyboard and use it like a laptop.  You can also touch the screen to navigate with your finger, or use the pen to write.

 

 

Tablet mode:

In tablet mode the keyboard is disabled so that you can use it like an iPad.

 

 

There is a "garage" to keep your rechargeable pen safe when you are not using it.  The pen also charges while in the garage.

 

60 seconds ("rapid charge") for 95% charge

4 minutes for a 100% charge

 

 

 

There are multiple ports on both sides of the Chromebook such as Power, Volume, USB-A, HDMI, USB-C, mic/audio jack and a MicroSD card reader.

 

 

 

There are two cameras on your Chromebook;  A "front-facing" camera at the top of the screen and a "world-facing" camera near the keyboard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The front-facing camera also has a built-in privacy shutter.  If the privacy shutter is moved to the right, the camera can be used.  If you see a light, the camera is in use by an application.  If the privacy shutter is moved to the left, the camera is covered and cannot be used.  You will see a red dot covering it.
