Using Canvas - Calendar (Orientation)

The calendar page shows a list of all homework and events published for all of your courses. I recommend "Agenda" view because it shows a "Todo List" of all work that needs to be done for each day, and even crosses off assignments that you submit!

  1. Use these buttons to swap between the different calendar views. In this case, we're on the "Agenda" view.
  2. This panel shows a list of all your current classes. If the colorful square next to a class is grayed-out, it will be hidden on the calendar. You can click this square to make it visible again!
  3. This is an assignment; you can tell because of the paper and pencil icon next to it. Click on it to view further information or submit it.

Please note that different teachers have different methods for determining the time due for assignments. Some set it for midnight the day before class, others set it for 8:00 AM of that day, and others set it for the time that class actually starts. An assignment that you need to finish by Wednesday may appear on Thursday in the calendar, so make sure to look at least a few days ahead and pay attention to the times.
