Damage to District-provided equipment will be billed at the following rates for the 2023-24 school year. The district has several different devices in service for the 2023-24 school year.
All charges will be sent using an electronic invoice via email to a student's parents. Full payment of invoices is required by the date printed on the invoice (typically 7 days after being issued).
The rates in this article are applicable if a Chromebook is determined by the School District to have:
- Intentional damage, abuse, vandalism, or improper use/care, which results in structural damage including, but not limited to: bending, missing parts/components, dents, scratches, cracks, modifications, or disassembly of the device, etc.
- Excessive wear and tear

Lost or Stolen Devices
Students who lose their district-provided device will be billed for the full cost of the device. If a lost device is found and turned in to the Technology Department by June 30th of the current school year, the lost device fee will be refunded to the original method of payment provided the device is in full working condition.

A stolen device will be billed at the same rates as a lost device unless a police report is provided regarding the theft, at which point the device will be replaced free of charge.

Repairs will be billed at the part level. If multiple parts need to be repaired or replaced, each part will be billed as a separate line item.
The flat-rate replacement charge for a Dell 5190 2-in-1 is $352.00. If the total cost for repair meets or exceeds $352.00, you will be billed the flat-rate replacement charge in place of the cost of the individual parts.
