The following instructions detail how to add key pads to a serving computer using ExpressPoint.  Some computers serve a single line, so a single key pad should be configured.  Some computers serve two lines, so two key pads should be configured.

Open ExpressPoint and tap the life preserver icon in the bottom right hand corner.

Tap the Admin gear icon, then slide the Use Plug and Play Peripherals toggle to the position shown in step two.

Note: if your computer only serves a single line and thus a single key pad is needed, leave the Use Plug and Play Peripherals toggle in the opposite position from what is shown below.  The toggle button will display in green when set to use a single key pad.

Tap the Configure Peripherals button.

Tap the Edit Device Configuration button to start adding each of your computer's key pads.

Note: if you are reconfiguring your computers' key pads, key pad entries will be seen - tap the red 'x' to remove all key pads from ExpressPoint before continuing with these instructions.

Connect the first key pad to one of your computer's USB port, wait a few seconds, then press any key on the key pad.

Name the key pad using the Device Name box.  Any name is fine - this entry is for aesthetics only.  Tap the <Left direction box using the Direction selection boxes.  Now tap Save.

Tap the OK button - the first key pad had now been added to your computer.

The first key pad has been added and is now shown in the Devices to the Left box.  Tap the Edit Device Configuration box to start adding the second key pad.

As done for the first key pad - connect the second key pad to one of your computer's USB port, wait a few seconds, then press any key on the key pad.

Name the key pad using the Device Name box.  Any name is fine - this entry is for aesthetics only.  Tap the Right> direction box using the Direction selection boxes. Now tap Save.

Tap the OK button - the second key pad had now been added to your computer.

You should now see a key pad in the Devices to the Left box and a key pad in the Devices to the Right box.  Tap the Done button.

Complete the key pad setup by tapping the Save button.  You now have two key pads ready for use when serving students at your computer.
