If you're having WiFi trouble on your Chromebook, you don't need to leave your room to "catch" the WiFi. One thing to remember is to always close your Chromebook screen when moving to a different room. This helps it connect to the new WiFi more quickly.
If you're having WiFi problems, follow the steps below to fix the connection.
Turn WiFi off and back on:
- Click the clock area in the lower right corner.
- Click the WiFi icon (the box that says “PantherNet”)
- Turn it off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on. When it says “Connected” you are good to go!
If turning off WiFi does not work, Restart your Chromebook:
- Click the clock area in the lower right corner.
- Click the power button and choose "Restart."
Other Helpful Tips:
Always close your Chromebook lid when moving to a new class.
Don’t keep extra tabs open in Chrome unless you’re using them.
