1.  Hold down the option key     and click on the WiFi with your trackpad or mouse (looks like a baseball field) in the top menu bar.  

 

2.  You will see a value called "RSSI" .

 

 

3.  The "RSSI" value (Not the number of WiFi bars) tells you how strong or weak your signal is.  For applications like Google Hangouts Meet, you will want to make sure you have a strong WiFi signal.
