Genetec camera system access

Genetec's Omnicast camera system is accessible in three different ways - the Genetec Mobile app, the Genetec Security Center Web Client, and the Genetec Security Desk.  Each of the aforementioned access methods requires your SSO account.

 

 

Genetec Mobile app

 

1. On your district issued iPhone or iPad, open the Self Service app, find the Genetec Mobile app, and tap the Install button.

 

 

 

2. Open the app and enter the server address gmobile.uscsd.k12.pa.us [1], then tap the Log on with Azure SSO button [2].

 

 

 

3. Enter your SSO account username and tap the Next button.

 

 

 

4. Enter your SSO account password and tap the Sign in button.

 

 

 

5. Enter your SSO account code (see our article on Using A Code Card or Using an App or Text Codes if you are not sure what a SSO account code refers to). Optionally, check the Don't ask again for 30 days box.  Tap the Verify button.

 

 

 

6. Tap Allow in order to receive notifications.

 

 

 

7. Optionally, tap Yes in order to use the facial recognition if your device offers this feature.  Facial recognition allows you to log into the app using your face.

 

 

 

8. Optionally, tap OK to complete the setup of facial recognition.

 

 

 

 

Genetec Security Center Web Client

 

1. Open a web browser and go to the Staff Links page, scroll down and click the Genetec Security Center icon.

 

2. Enter your SSO account username and click the Next button.

 

3. Enter your SSO account password and click the Sign in button.

 

4. Enter your SSO account code (see our article on Using A Code Card or Using an App or Text Codes if you are not sure what a SSO account code refers to). Optionally, check the Don't ask again for 30 days box.  Tap the Verify button.

 

 

Genetec Security Desk

 

Note that the Genetec Security Desk requires a Windows operating system and is only made available to members of the district's security team.

 

1. Open your Windows menu [1], scroll and click on the Genetec Security Center 5.10 folder [2] and then click the Security Desk program.

 

 

 

 

2. Enter gdir.uscsd.k12.pa.us in the Directory box [1], then click the Sign in with Azure SSO button [2].

 

 

 

3. Enter your SSO account username and click the Next button.

 

 

 

4. Enter your SSO account password and click the Sign in button.

 

 

 

5. Enter your SSO account code (see our article on Using A Code Card or Using an App or Text Codes if you are not sure what a SSO account code refers to). Optionally, check the Don't ask again for 30 days box.  Click the Verify button.

 

 

 

6. Optimize your Security Desk settings by clicking the Options button [1], click Video [2], scroll to and select the Default options dropdown menu [3], choose Low Resolution from the Live stream dropdown box [4], turn Show overlays OFF [5], then click the Save button [6].
