There are two ways to create Kami Assignments:

A.  Share the Kami Assignment Link in Canvas

Creating an assignment in this manner will enable you to utilize all the features available in Canvas for the assignment, such as tracking missing submissions and automatically applying missing zero grades, among others. Students will be expected to complete and submit the assignment through their Kami app.

B.  Use the Kami Canvas External Tool

In this mode, once work is submitted, you're the only one with access until you return the graded files. Students are NOT able to make changes to the submitted document.  Assessment mode provides access to features that are not available in assignment mode. These include the ability to enable the due date feature with a countdown timer, modify the due date and time of your assignments even before they are due, receive all student submissions automatically when the due date arrives, and gain full access to files once the students have submitted their work.

In this mode, students CAN make changes to their documents after they’ve been submitted to Canvas.
